Coffeyville Historical Society Celebrates
50th Anniversary of Ownership of
Historic Brown Mansion

The Coffeyville Historical Society (CHS) is excited to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the ownership of the historic Brown Mansion. Violet Brown Kohler, daughter of W.P. and Nancy Brown, sold the 1906 Mansion to the Coffeyville Historical Society with the stipulation that the Mansion be open to the public and the original oriental rugs remain in place.

The Coffeyville Historical Society is honored that Mrs. Kohler entrusted them to preserve and share the beautiful Brown Mansion for the last 50 years as a museum.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the ownership of the Brown Mansion, the Coffeyville Historical Society will be hosting multiple events throughout the year. The events will include:

  • Bourbon at the Browns

    • A special presentation from Gunnar's Distillery and a night of bourbon tasting, cocktail sampling, and live music with Martin Metzger.

    • It will be held on May 6th beginning at 7:30 p.m.
