Friends of the Mansion

Members of Friends of the Mansion share a dedication to maintaining and restoring the historic national treasure,
The Brown Mansion. Their goal is to preserve the Mansion, its collections, and grounds for both present and future generations. Member support also allows Friends of the Mansion to offer visitors and school children enriching and stimulating educational programs. All memberships are annual.

Projects:

The Friends of the Mansion organization can list MANY accomplishments. A few of which have been listed below:

  • Purchased 100 white chairs and the racks to use for rentals such as weddings, parties, etc.

  • Helped with advertising in local newspapers as well as radio stations, and magazines.

  • Printed some of Violet’s and Friends favorite recipes as a cookbook to be sold in the Mansion Gift Shop.

  • Raised ALMOST enough funds to finish restoring one of the chimneys. There are five more chimneys that need to be restored to help keep water OUT of the Mansion.

 

Events:

Friends of the Mansion will be hosting numerous functions at the beautiful Brown Mansion. Come and join us!

  • Easter Egg Hunt

  • Murder Mystery Dinners

  • 50 Year Gala Celebration

  • Car Show

  • Meetings with programs and demonstrations from local individuals and businesses.
